So far, the compression format isn't documented. You can probably figure
it out from the sources, but if you get them you're under the license so
you can't technically use that info.
2bpp images can be compressed, with weird flags in the PalmRez post linker.
Check out the seeing gray article on the developer website for details.
We reserve the right to use different compression schemes in the future, by
the way. Of course we'll probably have to be able to uncompress bitmaps
using the current scheme for backward compatibility, but there's no
guarantee that future tools will generate the same compressed format.
