Yeah. If you haven't checked out the Inter@ctive Pager 950, from RIM/BSWD, you
should.
While not having to take a pager off your belt to read a message, is, nice.
You still have to take it off to reply!!!
The IP 950 uses the "same" radio module and backbone that the Palm VII uses
(RIM/BSWD). It's a proven technology (my company and I have been using them for
over 4 years with 5K+ radio devices).
Messages get garbled on the Motorola unit, but after having used an IP (for 2
years) I have yet to get garbage messages.
Not only can you send messages (email) from one IP to another, you can send it
to ANY email address on the internet. You can send messages to One-way pagers,
fax machines
OR to standard telephones (automated voice delivery system).
I'm pretty positive, Motorola can't do all that.
