The documentation was not my point.  My point was
that when the IIIx and the V were released with
OS 3.1, many people grouched that there was no
OS 3.1 patch for their 3.0 systems (i.e. the
PIII and the PIII upgrade board).  The response
was that there was nothing significant in 3.1
-- that it was merely an optimization for the
EZ processor -- so an OS update was not needed
for people w/ the older machines.

Well, it seems that there -are- significant
new features in 3.1 over 3.0.  So the reason
given for the lack of a patch upgrade seem
to be entirely bogus.

So: does 3Com intend on releaseing a patch
for the older machines to give them the 3.1
functionality?
