Hi there

As some of you know, I am a programmer with a few products under my belt.
In order to estimate where PalmOS Shareware is going, I would like pose a
(somewhat vague) question:

What is the going price for a piece of Pilot work? I don't necesarily mean
a contract job, I mean something >unique<. Hypothetically, of course :-).
I am as interested in what it would cost for me to buy something else, or
to sell something of my own.

To be a bit more specific, The program in question would:

1. Fulfill a requirement, or set of requirements that were defined for it.
2. Is actually desired by one party, and willing to be sold by the other
party.
3. Is "functional", that is to say, has reached v1.0 or thereabouts
4. Is documented (yeah...) and tested, (perhaps platinum tested?)?
5. Has existing users, thus requires support.

(BTW:If anybody would like to share any stories off line, my email is
[EMAIL PROTECTED], and I will maintain all confidentiality).

I know how much some of my (mostly commerical) software makes (not at
liberty to disclose, yadda yadda...),
what I am more curious about is the more "DIY" shareware market? Apart from
HandsHigh software, what are the other big sucesses in the PalmOS realm?

Though these things are fickle to the heat of the day, I will post any
substantitive answers to the net. What with over 3 million pilots out
there, I am curious what the current perception is..

best regards
