I like to use my P5 as a $450 desk clock, so I'm working on a hack that will
switch to my clock program when I put the P5 in the cradle.

I've noticed with some testing that a nilEvent is *sometimes* sent when the
P5 is cradled. Is there some other more reliable method for detecting this?

Does 'Applications' just poll the battery info -- it seems to change the
battery status symbol to "charging" almost instantaneouly when the P5 is
placed in the cradle, although it takes some time for it to realize that it
is no longer charging when you remove the P5 from the cradle. If it were
just polling, it should take equal time to notice both conditions.

Thanks for any info!
