Would that really be a problem if you only enhance the memo pad on
new devices that ship with a new enhanced version of the desktop software?
Perhaps it is a bad precedent but I think the Memo Pad is one of
those critical pieces of software that reflects on the platform since
nearly every user will run it at some time or other and many of those
users will rely on it. Not fixing a limitation that seems (in my
experience) to adversely affect so many people is just a Bad Thing.
