There is a lot of subjectiveness here for sure!  The rule of thumb we have used here is
that "hand held" is one of those clamshell machines that has a keyboard and an LCD 
screen
exposed when you open it and a "palm sized" machine doesn't have a keyboard; only an 
LCD
screen.

We also consider it the ridge where you change product classification.  In the "hand 
held"
realm, WinCE is doing rather well.  When you get rid of the keyboard and expect a 
quicker
response since you are only doing pen touches is when the it really starts to suck.  
This
is why Mars and all the other "wince bricks" are falling flat on their face.
