I am having a few problems with my palm .. just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and managed to fix it. I have been connecting my Palm III to a linux box, everything worked OK. I am using DirectLink and have used the 00 dial number and that worked OK too. Now when I try to connect the Service Connection Progress screen just appears with nothing in it but a cancel button. It stays like that for about 1-2 mins. I've done a hard reset, removed the batteries etc. I've completely wiped the whole system and just tried using the 00 dial number and that doesn't work either anymore. It seems like PPP library has decided that it doesn't like to work with a direct connection anymore .. SLIP/CSLIP work OK just PPP has decided to go nutty. I don't know how but it seems like the PPP library is corrupt - which I thought was in ROM so does anyone know of a way to fix this? I am in desperate need of a fix, because I'm using the Palm TCP/IP for a final year uni project and I've only got a couple of weeks left to finish it - and this is seriously hindering my progress.
