Greetings, I noticed in the SDK documentation, that direct access to the SIR (serial IR interface) was possible, however, I could not find any other information. What I am trying to do is use the IR port as simply a serial port and bypass all the IrDA protocol stack (i.e. send/receive a byte via the IR). Has anyone every done this and could offer a few words of wisdom, and perhaps a code snippet :-). I thought I had found what I was looking for on palmcentral.com where they posted a comsOpen, IREnable, .. however, I can not see anything coming out of the port when using these routines.
