Is the sending device using IrComm?
Selecting IR from the Serial/IR panel redirects all serial requests (that
go thru the serial library)
thru the IrComm driver (which implements the IrComm protocol using the
Irlibrary).
Does your app access the serial port hardware directly?
And is the sending device/app also using IrComm?

I just installed the Enhanced Infrared Update on my palm III. My

normaly uses the serial com works fine. But
after selecting Serial/IR from the drop-down menu in the preferences my
application doesn't receive any data via the IR

Do I have to do any code changes in my application or anything else. The

length from my send application is about
950 nm. Is this OK for the palm IR port.
