Debugger console problem

I've got problem with the console debugger... After hitting the Run button
to launch the debug mode, I select the Open Debug Console from the PalmOS
menu.

The problem is that none of my commands to the console work.  For example I
want to use the dir 0 commands but nothing happens.  Does anyone have an
idea on why the console is not working properly ?
