Help with tables needed

I'm trying to write data programatically to a 6 row, 4 column table (text
and integers) and feel I'm beating my head against a wall.
Does anyone have any web links to information on how to deal with tables,
or can anyone help me with code snipets which might shine a little light on
my coding.
