There isn't a particularly simple way. Two suggestions:
(A) Use a commerical Palm <-> RDBMS tool. Sybase has one called UltraLite;
Oracle has one called Oracle Lite. Oracle's is proprietary; you need Oracle
Lite on the desktop to connect your Palm to an RDBMS, but the Oracle Lite
can serve as an intermediary, e.g. (SQL Server <-> Oracle Lite <-> Palm).
I'm not sure if UltraLite is out of beta yet, but it supports multiple
backends.
There are a number of other similar tools available.
(B) Write a conduit which talks to your database directly, through ODBC, or
through Access or some such convoluted mess.
