 JOS don't have single-byte katakana and lucks in special Japanese character
s ( called NEC GAIJI or something).
 anyway, PalmSJIS is completely superset of JOS so going from JOS to PalmSJI
S is rather easy.

 No, small and small-bold charaster's width is Same.
JOS support multiple Large and Large-bold characters(means user can change i
t), so the width changes.
But standard Large character's width is same as PalmSJIS.
