Hotsync2 vs Hotsync3

I am developing now with VC5.0 SP3 and trying to get a sample conduit to
run. One, is there anything I should look for that would keep something from
working for Hotsync2 but works for Hotsync3? Two, is there anything to keep
me from using Hotsync3 with Palm Pilot Professional?
