OS Version recognition?

I am doing the following to try to get the OS version number, but all I seem
to get is 0
Can anyone throw some light on the matter?

AppType equ 'TEST'
 lea OSVersion(a5),a4
 systrap FtrGet(#AppType.l, #sysFtrNumROMVersion.l, a4.l)

Alternatively, how can I test for a certain Dragonball type?
