It's actually my consumer point of view, as a user of the program. What _I_
need to do most often is look at the monthly view, and that was my original
point--Palm made a design decision. For my use patterns, it was the wrong
one.

To take it one step further, if I remember correctly, for certification, we
are required to return to the screen from whence we came if the user
switches from our app to another and then back again. Our requirement to do
that, coupled with the buil-in app's lack of doing that, seems to violate
the most basic UI rule--consistency.
