I've had no problem regularly synching to both my home machine and my
desktop machine. Somehow it is magically worked out. The only ugly problem I
had with this arrangement is when my PalmIII needed a vulcan cold boot,
wiping the slate totally clean (never set the date to 12/31/2031!). Since I
was at worked, I synched to my development machine, which restored all my
data and installed 3rd party programs to the point of about a month ago
since I had last synched at work. New stuff since then was missing.

When I got home, I synched to my usual home machine, thinking the new stuff
would be transfered to the device. Instead, the HotSync process deleted the
"newer" stuff from my home system.

Lesson learned: if you wipe out your device and normally synch to multiple
desktops, make sure to synch to your most "recent" desktop platform,
otherwise you can loose data.
