Dialogs - Trapping Events

Looking for the technique to detect events (specifically penDownEvents)
while one of the Palm modal dialogs is active such as the SysKeyboardDialog
or Tips. My own modal dialogs are no problem since I can set an event
handler for them but the system dialogs are a mystery.
