Playmidi stuff
Palm IIIx and Palm V beta:
playmidi45.zip
Last stable version with compression
playmidi.zip
Includes source to the conversion tools
For the builtin speaker (lame, so don't blame me).
playspkr.zip
To convert a multitrack midi file to single track:
mff1to0.c
-----------------------------------
Playmidi contains a midi to resource converter that doesn't do compression
(or maybe one of the earlier versions do). Playspkr will play the MFF0
resource. mff1to0.c will convert a multitrack SMF type 1 file to single
track (Type 0) so the SMF player will work.
They don't do a list, but the source for the converters are available, and
you can easily adapt them to be directly playable by the Palm OS3 (mainly
I strip the MThd and Mtrk, and the length, and the rest goes into a
resource).
Note that there is some subtle timing bug in the SMF player for long
delays. I found this on an unreased version of playspkr that I can have
more than one palm each do a track, so do N part harmony.
