Thank you for the clarification.  The FAQ lead me to believe they could be
merged and work together and that would be the preferable solution, but I
can maintain two separate CW installations and that is what I will do. I
won't waste anymore time trying to get something to work that can't.

I'd suggest updating the Metroworks FAQ for CW Pro 4 and R5 and say they
can't be merged..
