i compile under Solaris, or Linux.

  but the emulator under Windows is CRITICAL.. xcopilot 
  never works for me.. 

  (so i have not bothered upgrading).

  get it installed on a network unix machine, then
  telnet to it from your Windows box.. thats what
  i do! :P
