it is 32K limit ONLY for the code segment.
LodeRunner, my Pilot game, is currently 50Kb in size,
but i have hit 32Kb limit in the code segment a few
times..
i had to optimize my code a bit here, modularization
helped a bit (i was c+p'ing a lot).
but i am at the extreme of optimization now :(( cannot
add much more to the program.
i believe there is a fix where you can get 64Kb, but
i have not had a chance to try it.
as for gcc, i think there is a new version in alpha3
right now.. gets rid of the 32Kb problem, and the call
backs clobbering register "a4" :P
gcc is fine, if you want to put up with the 32K limit,
in a few months.. expect the new 'gcc' :P
hope this helps.. cheers.
