What is the safest way to do my own dynamic trap patching and
unpatching? (Yes, I know, "don't do it!"). But sometimes I just
want to patch one or two traps just for a few seconds, and I hate
to burden the user with a "permanently" patched trap that he/she
doesn't need most of the time. I am aware that the excellent
hack management utility EvPlugBase allows this sort of thing,
but it seems to be too slow in actual practice. I prefer to set
and clear the patches myself.

Anybody got any simple (or complicated) ways to avoid conflicts with
other hacks that might simultaneously be patching the same traps?

Thanks

Rick Bram
