The function you are looking for is SyncYieldCycles().  Call it with the
number of milliseconds you want to yield for (currently the only acceptable
number is 1).  HotSync goes and updates the UI (does the fun animation) and
things like that.  You can use this to have your own dialog if you want.
Be careful if you are going to do that though, in a network sync it's not a
good thing - you may not even know where the machine you are syncing with
is - you may have trouble dismissing a "You just did something stupid,
Ok/Cancel" thing.
