Hi,
Some clarifications:
When I first started building my project, all of my bitmaps were pure black
and white: That is, when drawn to the screen, the white parts of the bitmap
would over-draw what was behind it. The app is a modification on a chess
game, so specifically, the white pieces that were located on dark squares
would blow away the dark square entirely within the boundary of the bitmap.
Since I've moved to buffering the bitmaps in an offscreen window, Those
"white parts" of the bitmaps now are transparent. This is more of an
annoyance than a problem, but I can't figure out how to change it.
I'm not using any greyscale bitmaps.
Thanks,
-Pete
