Ok, I do not want to make a huge issue out of this, but I
wish to appeal to the reasonable and cooperative nature of the
people on this list. :)
Please do not abuse the PilotGear HQ main web page with
constant updates of the same piece of software. Those of you
who are doing it know who you are. It really hurts to be
knocked off the list so quickly by a repeated update, especially
after you have worked so hard on a new release. It is also
very frustrating to me that I have to try to time my updates
to avoid a certain author who is in the process of updating
as often as daily. It is even more frustrating when you try
to avoid it and then FAIL (as I just found out).
I know the incentive is great to keep your application up
there, but please realize what you are doing and also realize
how that kind of behavior can become detrimental to the success
of PilotGear and the developers using them as a vendor. Not
only is it terribly frustrating to developers (and especially
those who *pay* to be listed on the main site every day in the form
of banners, I would venture to say) but I feel that it also
adversely affects users and customers who want to use PGHQ to
find out what is *really* new in the application world.
I have attempted to make this message as non-confrontational
as possible and have obviously not pointed out any names. I
just think that we can resolve this kind of issue to make it better
for all of us.
     Thanks for reading. :)
