ok, i know we cant beat the crackers. no prob. what does someone who has never written a reg-code-needing program (me) need to do to implement this feature? it still seems like a good idea to use reg codes. i have asked for people to register my software and pay me $5. they obviously arent interested. what i want to do now is add in a reg code function so that at least some of the users will pay if they like to keep it. does anyone have any real code or pseudo code that shows how to implement a reg code using the hotsync name? i dont need CRC, self modifying code, or encryption. just some simple routines that will encourage some to actually pay for it! tia pete
