Right.  The "underline" setting for fields is a two bit setting.  In 3.0
and earlier, 0 meant no underlining, and 1 meant dotted underline.
However, the code just did an if/else, not caring what the nonzero value
was.

In 3.1 and higher, we added support for solid underlining and naturally put
it at value 2.  Constructor unfortunately saved resources with the value 2
instead of 1 for its underline setting, thus resulting in solid underlining.
