Running the 3.3b1 III Debug ROM, POSEr (d28 || d26) displays the following
warning message when i launch our app under MW Debug and then immediately switch
to the App Launcher:
The current application (unknown version) has failed.
The current application reports "DataMgr.c, Line 2542,
Records left locked in closed, unprotected database.'
If this is the latest version yada yada yada...
The thing is the app has >not< opened any databases. It hasn't done anything
other than display its main screen.
I re-routed DmOpenDatabase and DmCloseDatabase to see what databases were being
opened by the OS. PrefGetPreferences does, as does SysHandleEvent when it
handles 'launchChr'. In both cases the Prefs database is closed by the OS as
well.
This message occurs >only< when running under the MW Debugger (R5+U1+P1). If I
run the app outside the debugger, POSEr doesn't issue this complaint.
Would someone at Palm look at the 3.3 source and explain the error message?
