I am new to this list, so please excuse me if i say something silly here.
Undoubtly this list is great for developers. But from what i saw after i
signup here two days ago, I wonder if a moderated web-based forum is
better than a email-list? The advantage of a web-based forum are
1. When a new deveopler join in, he can always read the past articles,
instead ask same questions again here.
2. Searchable, and can be arranged to a way which is easy to access.
3. Can also send notification email if a new post come in, can even have
all contents inside the email as well if one prefer. This basicly means one
can still use it just like a email-list if one wishes.
4. This email list have some traffic already, and I'll expect lot more in
the future, so it likily some email will not be interested in by anyone,
web-based forum does offer the option only read the interesting ones.
If you think this is a good idea, i am happy to setup it at my site, and
still have the owner of this list as the moderator. If not, sorry to all,
and i'll shut up. :)
