I believe you are right. UI elements present in Codewarrior have a direct
correspondence to those present in PalmOS. I believe there won't be any more
elements in Codewarrior until some PalmOS upgrade includes them.

You do have gadgets. Gadgets are UI resources that are implemented in the
program code. Basically, they are a mean to include an unknown UI resource in a
graphical UI designer. PalmOS provides means for the program to retrieve the
gadget's position and size from the resource database. Basically, it doesn't
provide anything else.

Personally, I think there's lots of room for improvement in the gadget concept.
Why doesn't FrmDraw provide some means for drawing gadgets (a callback
function, perhaps)? And why doesn't FrmHandleEvent provide some means to
process gadget events? Here's an idea for the next PalmOS upgrade.
