You didn't mention that you are using FldDelete and FldInsert to set the
text... that copies the data out of your pointer and into the memory
allocated for the field.  Your FldSetTextPtr routine might cause problems
however, if the sizes of the new and old functions are different.  And I
would bet FldSetTextPtr just takes your data and points the handle at it,
assuming it will stick around after the routine.  It probably does not clean
up the old data first.
