I am using Palm OS 2.0.5. POSE does the same thing in the address book
when I follow these steps.

1) Launch the address book
2) Press New
3) Press Down Arrow

The code in Palm OS 3.0 seems to protect against this situation, but I
don't have a 3.0 ROM image to test against.
