For info about the IrDA communication protocols, take a look at the
docs at www.irda.org.
For info about how to access the IrDA stack from your application,
look at the Palm SDK docs. I also believe some of the sample code
touches on this subject.
The exchange of records (ex: datebook meetings) between Palm devices
uses the IrOBEX protocol. This protocol, as well as IrCOMM, are
documented on the irda web site.
