Active record

Hi,

Is there any standard way to know which record is active in a given
application? I need this information for a Desk Accessory, but I don't
think I can rely on the busy bit.

Do PalmOS or the PIM apps provide this facility or will I have to hack
PalmOS to know this?

I'd like to hear from people who have gone through similar problems.
