I've got a HACK which launches my launcher when the antenna is
raised. All it does is patch SysHandleEvent() and if there's an
antennaChr, it launches my app.
Ok, so I wondered if it would accidentally switch apps if you raised
the antenna while in Clipper or iMessenger. I tried it, and it
doesn't! This must mean that those apps check for antennaChr and eat
it before calling SysHandleEvent, is this correct?
Here's the problem... if you are in a wireless app with the antenna
DOWN and you go live, a dialog pops up asking you to raise the
antenna... when you do, the dialog goes away and the app goes about
its wireless business. Well, with my HACK turned on, raising the
antenna while this dialog is up causes my hack to launch the
launcher, meaning, if my above assumption is true, that
SysHandleEvent is called BEFORE checking to see if the event is
antennaChr while in this dialog. Is this correct?
If so, would it be asking too much to switch that in the ROM? If it
WOULD be asking too much, how can I go about fixing this little bug
in my launching hack?
Thanks!
