I just downloaded Poser 2.1d26 for Windows from our Web site, and it contains
"ROM Transfer.prc". But are you saing it's missing?
If you're saying that, for some reason, you don't have that file in your Windows
distribution and so used the "ROM Transfer.prc" from Poser 2.0b3 for Mac, then
that would explain the problem. ROM Transfer was changed for 2.1 to use a
error-detecting protocol. Thus, the ROM Transfer that comes with 2.0b3 won't
communicate with Poser 2.1d26.

Is there any known bugs in ROM Transfer.prc in working on Palm V
devices? I downloaded POSE 2.1d26, transferred the accompanying
"ROM Transfer.prc" file to the device (using Palm Buddy) and ran
it. After hitting the download button on POSE and the "Begin Transer"
button, both program just wait there for connection. I had to
reset the device to get out of the ROM Transfer app. I tried
this at 57,600 bps and 28,800 bps. Since Palm Buddy works
properly at 57,600 bps I do not think this is caused by a bad
serial connection. Is there any special instructions on downloading
the ROM from Palm V? BTW, I use POSE 2.0b3 for Mac. POSE 2.1b26
