I don't think you can do this.  Otherwise you could simply set a break
condition and leave the LED on, and this doesn't happen (I've tried).  
But there appears to be some AC coupling in the circuit, so it will only
go on for so long.  You might try sending a series of pulses though - it
will flash fast, but you may get it to go at a usable frequency.
