Ok, appended here I have three msgs.  Two are
complaining about the third spoofing their address.
Clearly one message can't be faked to come from
two different addresses.  My guess is that since the 
original msg only had a blank for the guy's name, the 
mail software that John & Paul were using goofed up 
and put there own addresses there.

Oh: and I second the original suggestion for having
the listserv put an identifying prefix on all msgs
from this list.  I suggest "[PalmDev]", so this msg
would have had the subject line

  "[PalmDev] RE: identifing header for list servers"
