I report such errors as "Palm OS" errors, hoping to convey that they are the
same error codes used by the Palm OS.  In 2.1d29, I now also include the
appropriate text (in this case, "dmErrMemError") to help drive that home.

I think POSE d29 is the latest.  As for error code 513....on the palm it is
a dmErrMemError (don't know if Keith used the same errors or not).  I would
also make sure your 80K app doesn't have a code segment or resource larger
that 63K (actually 64K minus some overhead).  Both POSE and the Palm will
not load your app if it does.
