compilation problem with pilot-gcc

I'm programming with gnu-pilot-SDK
and when i compiled my file 'appli.c' i had this error:

> m68k-palmos-coff-gcc -O1 -c appli.c -o appli.o
> m68k-palmos-coff-gcc -O1 appli.o -o appli
appli.o(.text+0x232):appli.c: relocation truncated to fit: DISP16 strLen

could you explain me this error and give me a solution for this problem.
