Just FYI, I remember seeing a program somewhere that would generate the
dot-dot-two strokes when it was run then return to the previous program. I
used to map it to one of the hardware buttons so I didn't have to switch
programs and type, just tap the mapped button. It worked well till I lost
it when switching development machines. I've been stuck doing documentation
for a while now and haven't gone back to find it again but someone else
might see this and refer you to the right place.
