Hi, I am trying to communicated between the desktop and palm without pressing the hotsync button (i.e. without conduits). Ideally a desktop application would detect when the palm is placed in the docking bay (provided the palm is running the correct software). This will be used to automatically login a user when the Pilot is docked. I am trying to do this with java (KVM), but will gladly take other language recommendations. The KVM has socket software, but requires a host and port be entered. Assuming SLIP or PPP will get to a particular network and one of those machines is an account server, this should work. I am having problems getting the SLIP or PPP to work. Is there setup on the desktop side for this. Thanks in advance for your help. Best Regards, Guy Bieber
