palm vii

I am mostly a lurker with a curiosity about the Palm VII's
wireless protocols.  From Palm's white paper (available at
http://www.palm.com/pr/palmvii/7whitepaper.pdf) I gather
that it uses UDP and data compression.  Is there anything
more substantive available? conventions above UDP? what
compression techniques? etc?
