I'm writing an app that talks to a device using infrared, but that doesn't
use IrDA. It's difficult to debug, since I haven't figured out how to use
POSE (on a Mac) to use my built-in IR on my PowerBook, and I can't have the
debugger connected while using IR on a Palm III/IIIx, etc.
My thought was that since the upgrade card (taking a Pilot
1000/5000/PalmPilot Personal/PalmPilot Professional to 3.0) has a separate
UART on it, that I could probably keep the debugger connected at the same
time I was doing IR communication. This'd make life much easier for me.
Problem is that although I have an older unit, I don't have an upgrade card,
and Palm no longer sells them.
I'm looking to beg/borrow/buy/rent/steal a card. I need it *immediately*,
and am willing to pay good money for one.
If you've got one you don't need, or can spare for a couple of weeks, please
contact me ASAP.
I'd assume that the Motorola Pager card upgrade would also work, so one of
those would be of interest, also.
