I'm curious who said the 18th? It is quite clear on the web site that the
schedule starts the 19th and traditionally in the afternoon. I believe the
hall is open starting in the morning but there aren't any special sessions
or anything. I would say the majority of people don't show up until the
first full day, the 20th in this case. Since there is no schedule on the
web site, I can only assume it is the same as the last two years.

The web site at http://www.palmsource.com/ and/or http://www.palmdevcon.com/
says "Four days of content [...]".
Since |{19,20,21,22}| = 4, this suggests that there might be more going on
on the 19th than just registration. :-)
