What if you used a global constant to define the type/creatorID.
How about:

static gDBType = "Data"

then you could use this constant wherever you needed to, and change the
value of the constant if necessary and then just recompile.

Someone suggested that resource 'type' of all lower case (like data)
is reserved for the OS and that must use 'Data', 'DATA' something
other than all lower case.

I have seen almost every app use 'appl' as a type for their
application.  This seems to violate this rule, if it is one.

If one has a db resource of type 'data' must they change that?

Now assume one has a db resource of type 'data'.  What is the best
way to change that from 'data' to 'Data' with the least impact?
