ODBC is not just a MS technology. It's a "middle layer" between a program
and the actual "native" API for a database. If your program knows how to
talk ODBC, it can talk to any database (well there are levels of ODBC
compliance) that has an ODBC driver available. Most of these ODBC drivers
then require the native drivers for their actual calls to the database.
ODBC is usually just a translator.

The point? Even if there was an ODBC driver available for your database on
a Palm, you'd still need to have the native drivers. Most importantly, does
direct database access fit with Palm Zen?
