Checking for available storage space

Hi. I'm looking for a quick and easy way to check how much total storage
space is available on the Palm. I'm also looking for some sample code of a
clean method for detecting/avoiding out of memory problems. I'm just putting
the finishing touches on my app, and I am not properly checking to make sure
there is enough room for my data.
